A Study Bible

Obviously, the most important tool you will need to start your bible study adventure is a good, reliable STUDY BIBLE. We personally enjoy reading the New King James Version for study purposes as it has some of the most accurate translations. It is a good start for study. Using a Bible app is always a positive option, but having a sturdy paper bible allows you to take notes, underline, highlight, and easily reference the page for follow-up.

Writing Tools

Highlighters
At some point while you are studying your bible you will absolutely come across a text that you will want to highlight! If you’re studying grace, you might want to highlight the word grace whenever you stumble across it.
These GEL HIGHLIGHTERS are the BEST for the thin pages of a bible.

Ink Pens

Most definitely my all-time FAVORITE INK PEN is the Pilot G-2 series. It glides over my notebook like a professional ice skater during the Olympics! A good writing utensil is necessary for focus and journaling and taking notes! Trust me!

Colored Pens or Pencils

These tools are a great resource for underlining passages, making special notations in your notes, etc.
COLORED WRITING UTENSILS can help you keep subject areas and specific ideas coded for quick reference. For example, when I look in my bible and see anything highlighted in pink or underlined in red, it is referencing LOVE.

Journal/Notebook

Having a JOURNAL is like having a best friend. Well, if you enjoy writing on a regular basis. But even if you do not like writing, it is important to keep some form of notebook or journal in your study supplies. This can help you arrange your thoughts, capture personal revelation as you read, and provide reference to what you have studied later down the line.
